JHU RISE-TC Supplemental Grant Application Form

Johns Hopkins School of Education - Applicants and Students Enrolled in the Master of Science in Special Education, Mild to Moderate Disabilities.

The Rising into Special Education Teacher Collaborative (RISE-TC) is a partnership between the Johns Hopkins University School of Education (JHU SOE) Montgomery County Public School District (MCPS), Maryland, and the Montgomery County Education Association. The partnership aims to promote teachers using evidence-based, culturally responsive pedagogical practices supporting students with disabilities in inclusive and special education settings.

Eligible Rise- TC candidates will receive support in the form of financial stipends up to $5,000 for educational-related expenses.

Students must meet the following eligibility requirements for the RISE-TC cohort.
1. Complete the admissions application and be admitted to the JHU Master of Science in Special Education Mild to Moderate Disabilities program and, once enrolled, agree to complete the master’s practicum in the Montgomery County Public School District.
2.Complete the RISE-TC supplemental application for 2024-2025 by July 31, 2024.
